Nominations for the Powell River Annual Business Awards
The Annual Business Awards, organized by The Powell River Chamber of Commerce, take place on February 4th, 2017.
The Annual Business Awards recognize the accomplishments of the local business community in the following categories:
- Entrepreneur of the Year
- Home-Based Business of the Year
- Customer Service, Retail
- Customer Service, Hospitality
- Small Business of the Year
- Large Business of the Year
- New Business of the Year
- Employer of the Year
- Professional Services Award
- Tourism Award
- Agricultural Award
- Business of the Year
- Not For Profit Award
- *NEW* Forestry Sector Award
- *NEW* Aboriginal Business Award
This year is the 21st annual event and the Awards will take place at Dwight hall. There are 15 awards, and the nominations close January 20, 2017.
Once they close, a panel of six business leaders in the community spend a full day going thru the hundreds of nominations that they’ve received.
The event sells out at 350 people for the dinner and the Awards. There is a huge silent and live auction, too–and there’s still time to donate a prize!
It’s a great night where the Chamber of Commerce gets to recognize local businesses who have gone above and beyond.
