Two years, and 3,000 volunteers hours later (2,600 by the BOMB Squad, and 350 by the ATV Club), we now have a refurbished trail system within Millennium Park.

Construction Totals:

  • 136 feet of new stairs
  • 3 picnic tables and 7 benches
  • two 16-foot bridges
  • one 80-foot bridge
  • 40 trail signs

The project has now been fully completed, and to celebrate, the City is holding a “Walk in the Park” event on Saturday, May 28th.

The event will feature a variety of guided tours through the park that include hikes, trail runs, bike rides, walks and even TrailRider tours. Many groups have come together to put this event together including the Trail Runners, Powell River Cycling Association (PRCA), the Naturalists, TrailRiders and more.

Come on out with your friends and family for a Walk in the Park!
