Powell River VegFest 2018

Wondering what it’s like to live a healthy, plant-based lifestyle? Or just want more information on the vegan diet?

Attend Powell River’s very first Vegfest on Saturday, May 12.

This event will combine great food, informative cooking demos, a variety of local and visiting vendors showcasing vegan products, AND two incredibly inspiring speakers! Learn how a plant-based diet can improve human health while protecting animals and the environment.

Vegfest Speakers

RCMP officer Dan Moskaluk and his wife Sheanne (featured in the documentary Eating You Alive) will share their story of hope, change, and an amazing journey back to health. Dan was diagnosed with stage four kidney cancer in 2013 and given up to two years to live. Today, they credit Dan’s good health (and Sheanne’s loss of 130 lbs) to their shift to a whole-foods, plant-based lifestyle. Dan is back at work full time and he and Sheanne travel extensively, sharing their story to inspire others to take charge of their health!

Anna Pippus is a Vancouver-based animal rights lawyer, strategist, and activist. She specializes in issues relating to farmed animals, and the animal rights movement more broadly. She proudly serves as director of farmed animal advocacy for Animal Justice and as strategic advisor for We Animals.
