The Little Shop that is your last-minute Halloween Costume solution
On our quiet rural street in Wildwood, a large sign mysteriously appeared a few weeks ago. Turning in on the driveway beside the sign, I walked the short distance to a small barn behind the main house. This property had recently been sold and I was also interested in meeting the new neighbours. Three witches cackled while greeting me over a boiling cauldron. The door swung open, revealing a room full of costumes.
The Little Shop of Costumes had moved to Wildwood! Locals might remember this home-based business under its previous name. Cameron’s Costumes. Meagan purchased the business a few years ago, running this costume rental and alteration service out of her basement on Richmond Street in Westview. When her parents retired to Wildwood this summer, the business moved into their newly renovated barn. Meagan’s mom, Loretta runs the shop these days, also doing alterations by request.
Little Shop is open year round for costume rentals by appointment. And in time for Halloween, this weekend from 1-5 p.m. Go and check it out! They have costumes for the entire family, plus wigs and accessories.
